Day 51 Communication / Interpersonal (Consensus Building)

Students will repeat the same activity of the previous day on the following topics:
  1. The feasibility of paper newspapers in a world with the Internet.
  2. The existence of ghosts.

1. The Feasibility of Newspapers.

A. Opinions:

  1. There will always be newspapers around.
  2. Computers are only good for videos.
  3. the paper from newspapers wastes a lot of trees.
  4. Lot's of people don't have computers.
  5. The internet focuses internationally, not locally.

B. Consensus: Newspapers are feasible and good for all sorts of news, especially local news.

C. Compromise: The environmental factors of the argument were omitted to reach a consensus.

2. The Existence of Ghosts.

A. Opinions:

  1. You have to experience ghosts to believe them.
  2. You can believe without experiencing them.
  3. ghosts are probably real.
  4. the existence of ghosts is possible.
  5. until it is disproved, it is still possible.

B. Consensus: The existence of ghosts is possible, and belief can exist without experience.

C. Compromise: The opinion that you have to experience a ghostly encounter to believe in ghosts was omitted to reach a compromise.
