The United Nations and Global Issues
Students will be given a copy of the April 6th Starphoenix article, North Korea tests missle, for discussion.

Students will read the article, and a discussion will take place on the structure of the United Nation General Assembly and its Security Council. Students will informed on the importance of the Security Council and the veto power that it holds.
Students will write a paragraph on what they think the United Nations should do (or do nothing) to North Korea for violating the UN resolution for testing nuclear weapons.
