Students will then be given a copy of a checkbook account balance booklet to show students how to record deposits and cheques. The students will then be given two different assignments.
Assignment #1
Students will be given a completed cheque book register (without balances), and they have to fill in the running balance and write out cheques for the required amounts.
Assignment #2
Students will be given a blank register and 4 completed cheques. They will also be given a balance forward and three deposit slips. They will use the information to fill in the cheque register.
