Day 40 Numeracy (MUltiplying Decimals)

Multiplying Decimals
When multiplying decimals using paper and a pencil, you multiply the numbers exactly as you would if there were no decimals in the problem. After you have completed the equation, you count the number of total decimal places in the problem, and put the total in the solution.

Students will use this information to complete the problems on page 28 of Mathematics Concepts, Student Workbook.
