Action Plan: Challenges and Assets

Students will review the activity "The Little House on the Prairie", where we discussed challenges and assets. Students will take a piece of paper and draw a line in the middle, covering the top half of the page. On one side they will jot down some of the challenges that face them in their everyday lives, and things that stand in the way of their success. On the other side students will right down some of the assets that they have. These are qualities and skills that make them successful. At the bottom of the page students will right down how they can use these assets to meet the challenges in their lives. This material will be used for the "Action Plan", which will be completed for their professional portfolios.
