Day 55 Interpersonal/Communication (Perspectives in Journalism)

Perspectives in Journalism

Students will be given a copy of the front page article of today's Star Phoenix, "Hail to the Chief".

Discussion will take place on the motivation behind the journalist's perspective on the story. Also, discussion will take place on the different methods journalists can use to write a story, and the implications of each. The following vocabulary and questions will also be completed.

  1. What issue is the article addressing?
  2. How does the journalist approach this issue?
  3. What other way could he have approached it?
  4. What were "starlight tours"?

  6. What can the police do to improve their public image?
